Plagiarism strikes!

I check out my stats, traffic sources and audience every once in a while.Yesterday,a link led me to a page which I initially thought was my own blog.More than 150 recipes from my blog has been blatantly copied there, including the 'about me' page(which is apparently the most popular post on that blog!),the whole of my 'recipe index'(which took me around a week to compile!)and many more recipes.

I have commented on one of the posts(I didn't know which one to choose, there are so many posts of mine there!)and asked that person to remove my posts as soon as possible.Since there is an about me section as well,I don't want people to start thinking I am the one who is plagiarising(since there are posts from some other blogs as well!).Have also sent a mail to google reporting copyright infringement.

I want to let all my readers know that allrecipesforcooking.blogspot.com is NOT MY BLOG.

My posts have been blatantly copied by this person without giving any due credit to this blog.Despite commenting yesterday night asking to remove the posts, that person has put in a new post from my blog today morning. So the only way out is to shut that blog down.I have given my complaint here, please do let me know if there is anything more I can/should do.

I have also changed the feeds from full feed to summary only.Hope my readers understand.

Thank you for your support and encouragement.

  5. I know how shocking it would be .... And I was really shocked to see your profile there in the About page and that too on top. Public readers, other than bloggers may not understand this and instantly may lead to miss consumption. Better you posted this... We are with you for support.

  12. That sucks. This person copied your whole year's hard work into 1 month of posts; I wonder since how long has that blog been up. How in the world do these people copy everything, posts to links to photos, from someone's blog as it is?! Looks like disclaimers & copyright notices don't really work, or even matter.

Did you report the copyright issue here?

  23. Divya,
I came to know of this via my sis-in-law Srishti (in comments above), who follows your blog.

I think this is something you should not put up with by any means, any day. You must do all you can to see the thief is taken to task.

This is plagiarism at its worst. Absolutely abominable...

I am a blogger too and slog my *** out trying to produce original, authentic content for my readers. It would unbearable to see any of my content being blatantly copied like this..

I'm going to Tweet this to find out from people what else you can do about it.

  25. did u try reporting this to cyber police? I think if google does not take any action you should go to cyber police ASAP.
Also do u have a Creative commons license? Report to them too if u do

  26. Hi Divya
I am a regular reader of your blog and really enjoy trying out your recipes....its really disheartening to see this kind of blatant copying happen...and this person is still blogging! Andhe or she seems to be copying recipes from all over..its so obvious! I really hope some action is taken...seems to be someone who speaks portuguese...cos the comments page has the word "disse" meaning "says" before every comment.
Good luck and don't let this discourage you!
